Large breated dating site
This decoy shows augured bottom holes which were used to keep the decoy suctioned to the water in rough conditions. LL Bean, Freeport, Maine, E-65 Hardcover book in excellent condition called,"Hunting, Fishing and Camping" by LL Bean. This book in it's original form which was first produced in 1942 was authored and is signed by LL Bean himself in his own hand in ink on the inside cover as shown. He turned out hundreds of decoys using nothing but a hatchet and they are very distinctive look. Note the carefully carved and balanced tail feathers.

FEATURING AN ELECTRIC MOTOR, BRASS PROPELLER, REOSTAT TO CONTROL SPEED, WORKING RUDDER, CUSTOM STAND AS WELL AS THE ABERCROMBIE & PITCH CO., NEW YORK METAL LABEL ON THE STERN. He is featured in "Rainbows In The Sky" a book on Michigan Folk Art. The initials "ACA" on the bottom are for Adam Charles Anger a relative of famed carver Ken Anger.
Some minor rubs to the paint as shown attributed to age.
This carving has a rounded body style and great carving of especially the tail.
Amateur Savoie, Neguoc, NB, Canada Circa 1959 rare half duck decorative decoy by famed New Brunswick carver Amateur "Mat" Savoie (1896-1983).

This was not cut in half and later mounted, but originated in this manner.
Carving is very near mint and is in original paint as well as condition. This decoy with the set back neck is by far his best work and is all original. ADAM ANGER, WINDSOR, ONTARIO This is a standard size mallard drake decoy carved by Adam Anger in the 1980's.
Although there are a few minor rubs to the tips of the paint,this decoy overall is in mint condition. There is a fine split in the paint of the bill which is very hard to see.
The keel and loop are in place, and the bottom is branded ACA for Adam Charles Anger. Addie Nichol, Smith Falls, Ont., OBW12 Important 12" long Drake Redhead by old time Smith Falls, Ontario carver Addie Nichol, uncle of well known carver Davey Nichol.
